Do 'sea bands' help anyone with vertigo?

I've always battled car sickness, air sickness, and the worst vertigo episode I ever had was at the Gettysburg Battlefield Museum. There is an upper room, which is circular with a viewing screen around the entire room, and I became horribly sick, and began to spin.

I don't know if these would have helped at the museum, but they surely help in the car, and in the air, I keep them in the car for my grandson, or he's in trouble.

Many have claimed these help with vertigo. Any thoughts?

i too suffer from vertigo. I was told I have Meniere's disease and having the balance problem with the CMT doesn't help. I have never heard of sea bands. I hope others respond here would be interesting to know what helps

I thought it was an inner ear disturbance, but wanted to make sure! Geez, like one thing isn't enough?

I was first given these when in the hospital for sinus surgery. I get horrifically sick from the gas, so I insist I have Phenergan on the list before I even get into the ER, tell the nurse in charge of prepping me that if I get sick from NOT being given this, I will pay them a visit afterward. So NOW I am given it before even going in, so I don't know if they helped for that, but I gladly wore them, and kept them! If not the Phenergan, they tell me in post op not to even move my head, I just dry heave constantly!

Um, more fun with SK! ha!

I have to carry the generic form of Phenergan with me all the time, along with meclizine. I also have to carry papers that say "don't give me a lot at once or I won't wake up" so frustrating, I can absolutely relate to "don't move my head". If I find a position when I am dizzy that won't make me get the dry heaves I don't want to be touched. Such lovely lives we lead at time hey?

Oh aren't we just the pair! Now we're having fun with SK and bg! ha!

Oh yes, I carry the exact same stuff!

Gotta tell you, I have so many different white pills in my little pill box in my pocketbook, that I use these washable markers to put different colored dots on them. So I'm at the GP one day and he asks me what mg I take on a med, I get this out and he wants to know about the dots and fusses me that this dot is poisonous! I said "What? Are you kidding me, of all the meds I take, and all the possible side effects, you are going to focus on this dot?"

Then he laughed, and mussed my hair! LOL!

oh Funny! I have to make sure i have my glasses on when I am looking in my little pill container or I will take a phenegran when I don't need it and sleep for days. What a mess!!! I do not like pills and the doctors I see on occasion don't know what to do with me as I am not someone they can look up in a "text book." They have to think outside the box. Have a good weekend :)
