I had IVIG and it works wonders! After you dose you will feel so much better, and as for travel I used to set my travel around my dose so I could go and feel good.
Good luck Cia Im off to Llandudno hospital in North Wales tomorrow as well for my 31st IViG treatment, don't worry about it too much you'll be an old hand at this like me in no time. Glad to see that Im not the only one in this neck of woods that's special and unique (which we are and don't let anyone tell you otherwise)
Lol Bill nice to know that you have a sense of humor about this condition. Well I feel much better now, now that I've read all the comments here. I will keep u guys posted as to how it went.
Please do not worry about traveling. I have just returned to Cape Town after a 12 hour flight that was preceeded by other flights all in the same week and I get IVIG treatment (big doses) regularly. I have done a lot of other long haul flights over the last few years whilst under IVIG treatment and I have had no problem.
