I totally understand I woke up 2 1/2 yrs ago and could not walk. This was scary - I have been getting IVIG treatments very 8 weeks for about the last yea and a half -they do help get my energy up but may take a couple of treatments. Just keep your ead up and don't let anyone stop you.I am now able to drive again -this was after 3 mons in a skilled nursing fac and 3 wks in a rehab hospital. Welcome to the group.
First, welcome! I hate to hear that you're having such a rough time with this, starting out. Here's hoping that the treatments you are receiving start to kick in, soon. Unfortunately, there is no consistent answer as to what will work, when it will start working, or how long the effects will last. Each of us is totally different, and all we can do is operate with what we've got to work with.
My neuro just changed up my therapy in an attempt to help stave off my recurring symptoms, so we'll see how that goes. Should you have ANY other questions or concerns, please keep posting. Having a support system in place is a great resource and outlet for stress and anxiety, especially when you're dealing with something so rare and almost maddening.
