I had an issue with my email. Not sure why. My thanksgiving was nice because I had my children home for college but I’m in so much pain, it made it almost unbearable to sit through dinner. I spent most of the 4 days the kids were here in my bed so I could have some elevation in my legs. I hope yours was great. Thanks for the email. Tomorrow I go to be evaluated for a wheelchair. My insurance requires it and I’m nervous about it. Have a good rest of this beautiful Sunday.

4 days of bed with elevated feet must have been an awakening to how serious their Mom is hurting! I remember watching my Dad age over time but to see what CIDP can do in a short period of time must be traumatic for them and I’m so sorry for your physical pain and decline in ability.
What color wheel chair? I always that it would take someone with a special sense of humor to get red flames stenciled in. Do you have any arm strength to push or is it motorized?
My kids were all here from my wife’s side. Mary’s: Mom and Dad, Sister, nieces, great niece and a great visit! I too wasn’t comfortable . I actually get pissed off when pain robs me of what should be a joyous event! Thanksgiving do we give thanks for the pain? I say heck no!
Are you still doing weekly IVIG infusions?
Next time request Benadryl to prevent headache and you sleep through the three hours!

Okay one more think of the things that you want to continue doing, those things that are most important to your soul and well being , and make physical changes the spaces to access those thingsfrom a wheelchair.

My kids did well, all things considered. I will be getting a motorized wheelchair. No idea what my options are but it will be colorful, if the insurance covers color. Who knows with insurance. I understand completely what you mean by pain taking special occasions away. Have a great week and will talk with you soon.
