My son will tell anyone who'll listen how effective this was and, in fact wrote a blog himself in '09 - '10 (with help of another Burt patient because my son could not use his hands at that time." These patients are easy to find & easy to talk to, as they are so eager to share because they know UCSF, STANFORD, & MAYO, and the GBS/CIDP Foundation are not spreading the word. Perhaps that's for legal reasons because Burt's trial has not ended yet. But it's been going on & saving lives for over a decade at a first class large teacing hospital - NORTHWESTERN UNIV THORNBURG SCHOOL OF MEDICINE IS NO BACK ALLEY STOREFRONT SELLING JUST HOPE. The treatment is NOT controversial among the patients who've had it. PLEASE spread the word. To see my son's story, google Regenerative Medicine Vatican Conference April 2012 (or 2013, can't recall.) Son has been free of disease with no medication or other treatments since Spring '10. Myelin grew back rapidly, he recovered all of his function, still/will always have pain in feet - but we're not complainin' about that !!!!

It has been brought to my attention as a moderator, that there is a controversy over Dr. Richard Burt's procedures. I can't really comment on it myself because I've never had SCT (Stem Cell Transplant). I do however know of a few people who have had it done by Dr. Burt, and it was successful. I am trying to get permission from one person who has had it done, and wrote a blog about her experience. If she gives me permission to post the link to her blog here, I will.
Here is a link to SCT that features Dr. Burt. Maybe it might help everyone understand SCT better.
