Very upset

This information is from www.Beatingneuropathy.com I didn't know this about treadmills and neuropathy until I found his web site. It explains a lot for me. Hope it helps.

"Some may be concerned that exercise may not be good for people experiencing peripheral neuropathy. This can be true. People with diabetic ulcerations or skin fragility should use extreme caution. Treadmills should also be avoided. Even though they are popular, they create a lot of vibration which can aggravate neuropathy and chronic pain conditions. A better way to exercise the large muscles of the thighs is to use an exercise bike. Pedal wheels are an option for those who may not easily be able to ride a bike. Another option is a “trainer”, which a regular road bike can be placed on and used indoors. The purpose of exercise is to create more blood flow, which will create a rise in temperature which will be beneficial to people suffering from peripheral neuropathy."

Swimming or just moving in water was a huge help. I found that any biking or constant repetition of certain muscles and I would become very
Sore.

I did rehab in a 92degree salt water pool for about 8wks.It helped alot but had to end it because of insurance. I think i may try walking again. Nothing long distance but to the corner and back It wont hurt to try. :-)

have you tried an antiimflammitory diet? i found my energy and attitude got a lot better on the diet. My symptoms slowly improved and i was able to get back to work. i still have drop foot and no ankle support w out wearing braces but i can function. I also take some supplements to improve nerve regeneration. everytime i go in for my rituxin treatments my symptoms relapse and my depression increases. highs and lows both mentally and physically are exhausting. i also try to stretch during the day to keep those muscles and tendons from tightning up, only like 10 min a day. all seems to help but its tough to do sometimes. ONE DAY AT A TIME

For the record - I am now a few hours away from my next IVIg (which I get once every 4 weeks).

In the past 4 weeks I have really pushed the limits of exercise stress helping with grape harvesting and wine making which has involved a lot of walking on uneven ground (tough when the feet don't work properly and balance is an issue), lifting and carrying lots of 15kg loads and generally being very active.

I can tell you that I was often pushing through that pain barrier and finishing days absolutely exhausted.

I can also tell you that while I really feel the need for this next IVIg, I certainly feel better for all that exercise that I was able to get - way better than if I had spent that past 4 weeks doing nothing. It really does help if there is a purpose for exercise rather than exercise just because you need exercise. The tip being - find something useful to do that is exercise but has a useful end result - like fine wine to drink some time in the future....

well put. Enjoy the wine

Naturally - By any standard it is a small winery but on the world stage wines produced have been rated higher than Penfolds Grange by the experts. So - enjoy we do! And this involves comparison testing against some of the best produced anywhere (particularly Italians). It is a tough job but someone has to do it....

nice work. where is this small winery?

http://boireannwinery.com.au/ for all the details. Unfortunately shipping outside Australia is very expensive so the rest of the world only gets to read about the wine which sells out every year.

I have not tried any type of diets except foe eliminating artificial sweetners. Would you mind telling me some more about this please?
