About the CMTA
“A World without CMT”: that’s the CMTA’s vision, and the driving force behind our mission. We are devoted to:
- Generating resources to find treatments and a cure for CMT
- Creating awareness about CMT
- Improving the quality of life for those affected by CMT.
Leading the CMTA in its mission is a governing board of directors and a medical advisory board comprised of over 50 clinical and research medical professionals who are experts in neurology, genetics, orthopedic surgery, physiatry, physical therapy and podiatry.
The CMTA currently has more than 20,000 patients and families, supportive friends, and medical professionals in its database—all committed to our vision.
