Yikes, I know some of you are dealing with back pain with your GBS, I am not sure if I’m dealing with a GBS thing or a pinched nerve/ sciatica problem. All this started out of the blue after a pretty intense physio session.
I’d appreciate any advice for easing the pain?
Thank you
I use a large yoga ball to stretch out my back. It's great! I guess it depends on your problem so you may want to ask them. My back was burning pretty badly. I just ordered a couple of Miracle Balls recommended to use on pressure points in my back and legs. I also use a cold pack on my back but make sure I don't put it directly against my skin. I am working on strengthening my core by walking backwards and forwards in a pool too. I have a great Physical Therapist who is helping me twice a week. It's been the best thing for me so far!
Thank you, the ball and pool walking sound very helpful, I will check into those ideas and try an ice pack too. I appreciate the help. Sending healing vibes your way.

Gayleen,
Try this exercise, it works wonders for me when my back is playing up

Back pain was my onset symptom. The difference for me with GBS back pain and previous muscle strain / pinched nerve back pain was that GBS back pain was not discriminate - it was all over! Lower back, middle back, upper back. I could not lie down (pressure hurt) nor could i sit, standing upright was the only thing tolerable. Even now the relapses i get are all over, and the intensity is the same all over.
I also found massage therapy more effective than physio, it’s gentler
Thank you, I will try this for sure and appreciate your feedback.
