Is there any sort of thing to stop the pain. My feet are the most irrating and stops me from sleeping.is there any cream or medicine that can fix this? And is this nerve pain perminant?
Have you seen a Neurologist? They can treat you for nerve pain. Light massage really helped me and time. Good thing is that nerves can regenerate and heal. The pain kept me awake too for a long time. Hope you feel better soon!
I have been taking gabapentin (nurontin) 100mg in the morning 100mg midday then 300mg at bedtime it has helped me get better sleep!
And with time the nerves heal!
I will be praying for you Paulo for restful sleep and nerve healing! Gods Blessings ! May your strength come from the Lord! Philippiansp 4:13
Pastor Paul, You are so right!! I tell myself many times a day.....I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phillps. 4:13 I am recovering from my 2nd round of paralysis and know had it not been by the Grace of God, and His strength given to me, I would still be in the bed Thankfully, with meds and the power of prayer, I am walking all by myself. I too am taking 600 mg of Gabapentin throughout the day, helps with the pain and sleep. Prayers .
I was prescribed tramadol but only take it if I really need to because of the side effects. I have pain everywhere. My elbows, neck, shoulders, back and knees hurt constantly and my ankles, and fingers only if I overdo it. I'm interested if anyone has tried the paleo diet or saunas to help with pain. I'm looking for non-medicated pain relief so I don't become dependent on tramadol. Thanks!
Praise God!
I am on my second recovery too! I was completely healed then in October my hands and feet went numb with the tingeling so I went to the ER right way and it was not as bad this time!
But I praise God I am Walking now!
Praying for quick healing for both of us!

How long does this pain last for? I know everyone recovers differently but just a rough time frame.is it a few weeks to a few years??
I hurt pretty bad straight for about 3 or 4 months. My pain gradually started getting better and better with time, physical therapy and regular massages. I'm 17 months out and no longer on any medications. Toughed it through it most of the time because of side effects. I still tend to get more stiffness after sleeping at night and will sometimes hurt a little until I get going. Some days my fingers will hurt first thing but they get better too as I use them. I used to hurt so bad at night and would wake up all the time because of it. I remember I would hurt during the day then hurt worse at night laying down. I had to just piece together my sleep. No one really understood. I just accepted it but continued to look for ways to help. They had me stretch over a big yoga ball throughout the day and slowly pedal without resistance on a recumbent bike for a few minutes every other day or so to stretch out my lower back. Stretching still helps me. If I hurt now, I don't really notice it so much because it's nowhere near what it was then. Paulo, have you tried any Physical Therapy or Massage Therapy?
