Questions about symptoms

I am extremely hesitant to post this, but I would like to hear other opinions. I am a 70 year old male and I was diagnosed with CMT in the 1980's. I evidently have a mild form of CMT, primarily numbness in my legs and poor coordination in my legs, hands and arms. I noticed the last few years that my mental acuity and sort term memory was slipping. I am a computef geek, so my first inclination was to turn to the Internet for answers. What I found was that taking Walnut Oil was supposed to help clear the plaque associated with Alzheimer's. There was no mention of allergic reactions or drug interactions, so I decided to try it. An examination by a memory specialist a few weeks later showed no signs of Alzheimer's, but in the mean time some feeling had returned to my legs. I have continued to take a tablespoon of Walnut Oil every day, and the feeling remains. It has been so long since I can remember having feeling in my legs that I can not define whether it is full or partial, but it is better than numbness.

I am not promoting this as a miracle cure, or any type of cure. I would just like to know if anyone else has tried Walnut Oil, and if they had the same result. I have had no other side effects.

HI Bill W,

Thanks for posting this! This is wonderful news! So glad this is giving you such great results! First thing that come to mind is that walnut oil is a good source of Omega 3.

Here is some info on the type to buy and shelf life.

Here's one about walnut benefits for neuropathy!

By golly, I think you're on to something here, Bill! Yippee!

Hi Bill

Well I might certainly like the sound of the Walnut Oil.

I hate feeling as if my legs aren'there?

I wonder if eating walnuts would have same effect....

Gotta try these things esp if it may oil the brain as well

Never tried it or though about doing so.

I cannot eat nuts, so I use the oil. A handful of Walnuts is about 1 Tablespoon of oil.
