I am extremely hesitant to post this, but I would like to hear other opinions. I am a 70 year old male and I was diagnosed with CMT in the 1980's. I evidently have a mild form of CMT, primarily numbness in my legs and poor coordination in my legs, hands and arms. I noticed the last few years that my mental acuity and sort term memory was slipping. I am a computef geek, so my first inclination was to turn to the Internet for answers. What I found was that taking Walnut Oil was supposed to help clear the plaque associated with Alzheimer's. There was no mention of allergic reactions or drug interactions, so I decided to try it. An examination by a memory specialist a few weeks later showed no signs of Alzheimer's, but in the mean time some feeling had returned to my legs. I have continued to take a tablespoon of Walnut Oil every day, and the feeling remains. It has been so long since I can remember having feeling in my legs that I can not define whether it is full or partial, but it is better than numbness.
I am not promoting this as a miracle cure, or any type of cure. I would just like to know if anyone else has tried Walnut Oil, and if they had the same result. I have had no other side effects.
