Has anyone done steroid treatment? What side effect did you get?
I have been on steroids for over 3 months and have had some nasty side effects, the worse was migraines (and I know now the difference between a headache and a migraine) the dosage has been reduced recently and now I just get headaches (which I can cope with), I also had difficulty sleeping and seemed to want to eat lots and lots. Other effects are more down to CIDP itself, really tired, lack of physical capabilties. On the plus side they have speeded up my recovery, but I am on 3 pills just to counteract their effects (C & D vitamins, anti-acid's and alendronic acid - for osteoporosis). The 1 big advantage for me is being able to take these at home, but for how long........
