Surely you all know that I have Psoriatic Arthritis. There are 4 types, you can have one or all of them, though I may have all, my Rheum classified me as the spondylitis type, meaning it attacks the spine.
What kind do you have?

Dear SK :
Hey, it's me, Jayme, I just wanted to let you know that I'm one of those who suffer from, in adition to C.M.T., I also have mild arthritis in my hands. This arthritis is very bad during the biterly cold winters here in the midwest, my hands, at times feel like all of the bones in my hands have been broken, tey are that limp.
Jayme
Hey Jayme!
How are you bud?
What a drag it is to have more than one health challenge! Sorry you have been hit by so many things too! I understand the broken bone feeling, it gets tougher every year!
It was freezing cold yesterday, but today is beautiful! Hopefully it stays that way for a few days!
The midwest is beautiful and the people are just the nicest, but oh my the winters! This year has been especially brutal here too! We have lost close to a dozen bushes and trees! Even last month’s electric bill was nearly $500.00 to stay warm! I’ll tell you, I’m ready to explore making some ‘Bagdad Batteries’ or a ‘Dendera Bulb’, something for light and warmth! I wanted a wind mill but not enough land, and when there’s no wind, you need to run it on gasoline! ha!
Did you get the go ahead on your community garden yet? We have some good looking purple onions, radishes are up, strawberries are in bloom, and my husband has squash, cherry tomatoes, and flowers doing well in the green house he made, and modified last year! Hope your permission comes through soon!
My grandson hoed and pulled weeds in the front beds, we plan to plant flowers in there for one of my mom’s birthday presents! She will be 82 at the end of the month. I always try to grow cutting flowers. zinnas, calendulas, bacheolr buttons, cosmos are in the green house, and I’ll take the boys to the greenhouse down the road for petunias and whatever else they find! I let the pick them, and plant them where they want! They are always so proud of their work! Digging in the dirt and growing things is good for the soul!
SK,
I have osteoarthritis in my ankles and knees. A couple of decades ago I was examined by an orthopedist who x-rayed my ankles and knees and diagnosed it.
I don't have much pain from the osteoarthritis. The biggest effect is that, for many years I (and my primary care doctor) thought that my only problem was the oa, and I never suspected anything else. I had never heard of CMT. It was not until October 2013 that I learned that I had CMT, that many of the problems I had attributed to arthritis was really the CMT. While I do have osteoarthritis, it is not really much of a problem.

Hi John,
Makes you wonder how many others out there in the world are still being misdiagnosed, frustrated that the meds are not helping them.
I'm glad to hear that the OA is not that problematic, we are in big trouble if we lose the use of our hands!
A good friend of mine who has OA and Fibromyalgia just kept getting sicker, and sicker, nothing seemed to help. Then one day her furnace stopped working, and when the repairman came out, discovered that when the new roof was put up, they covered the furnace exhaust! It's a wonder she lived to tell the tale!
Good to hear from you,
SK

Dar Sk :
That's a big NO, to the permission of our community garden. Our weird corporate superviser is draging his feet so s-l-o-w-l-y. I'l give you an example, we had a maintence guy who was here a MONTH before we opened, and the fesidence here all thought that Bob would be here at least two years, to see how we would grow, but management overworked and continually underpaid Bob, until he'd had enough, and finally said " I qiut ".
Now, corporate, finally managed to hire a replacement, but, he'l only be around for three weeks, and then he's leaving for good. and, guess who's left getting screwed, WE ARE. Management now hates the idea of this kind of complex, because most of the residents here have legitimate complaints, daily, and our management is tired of hearing about these complaints.
They originally hired an adminisrater who had a kind, and gentle heart, but that is gone. Why you ask ? I'll tell you why, it's because he didn't anticipate that, at nearly 100 people, most of these people are elderly, and weren't supposed to be here, originally, this complex was supposed to be for the PHYSICALLY-CHALLENGED, but that idea got thrown away months ago. Now, we were declared by the state of Illinois A NUSING FACILTY because we are located next to senior citizen assistive living, and soon we will be neighboring a dementia facility. Oh joy!!!!
Jayme
Ah Jayme, that really stinks! That little garden would have given you all something to really look forward to! If it's not politics, it's money, but essentially, they are the same thing, I guess! Wish you were closer, we'd be glad to share a raised bed with you!
