“Hello… I need some advice. Today it has been a month and 5 days after first symptoms. Although I can walk with a roller i get exhausted after 5 hours out of bed, walking, takking in phisical therapy. After an hour on my feetit hurts my feet hurta…”
I am entering my 9th month of recovery - I can walk around the house without a cane and usually walk with a cane when I go to work. My feet still hurt. Every 6 hours I need to take my neurontin -- my feet are like an alarm - they tell me when it is time to take a pill. They feel like I have "bunched up socks" in my shoes. It is annoying but not enough to get me down. I have lots of living to do.
I am looking forward to Thanksgiving - I have much to be thankful for - most of all my mobility. What a drag -- unable to walk or drive. I now exercise everyday - don't want my CIDP to return to ADIP.
GBS is a nasty condition - it took quite a while before I got a diagnosis - it was scary to be sick and have no idea why, or how I got sick, or if I would ever recover.
Thanks ,… Very helpful!!! Hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving! I am looking forward to thank God and Life … Although I ve thanks God each and everyday for my speedy recovery!!!
