Five years ago, I mentioned that I thought I got GBS from an upper respiratory (sinus) infection or allergy. That was before I read a couple of years ago that eating undercook chicken could cause GBS. Now I’m more certain that that was the cause of my GBS. Today, I make sure when I cook chicken, they’re fully cooked all the way to the bone.
I got it about a week after diarrhea almost 40 years ago. No shot involved.
On Nov 4, 2004 I took my first flu shot (and my last). Within 24 hours I symmetrically started getting numb starting at me feet and coming up to chest and arms. I was misdiagnosed at the hospital. After numerous tests for MS did a neurologist determine that it is GBS. To this day, my feet, parts of my legs and arms remain numb. No more shots for me.
