Was just diagnosed at Mayo’s. Very mild at this point, primarily numbness in both hands. We are watching for any progression. Being a diabetic (controlled with A1c of 6.1) and some heart disease they are being rather cautious with medication to control the minor pain at this point. Appreciate your comments; we are watching closely.
How were you diagnosed? Nerve biopsy; spinal tap? With just mild numbness in ha SS that would be hard to diagnose especially with low progression and low pain so far.
EMG and muscle conductivity, and Lumbar puncture.

Hey, Arnold! Two years ago I had the same symptoms, tests, and diagnosis that you describe. My hands and feet had a tingling numbness. After three months, the symptoms disappeared and I haven’t had a recurrence.
Many of the members of this group suffer so much worse than I do that I often doubt if I belong in this group. At times I wonder if CIDP and GBS are diseases that operate over a wide spectrum of effects from mild to brutal. Little is known by the medical community about us and our conditions. That is why this forum is valuable. Please keep us informed of your experience.
