Huge health change

Glass half full strategy. The tumor was found and removed. Stay strong and know you have a lot of IDP supporters sending you positive thoughts and prayers.

So very sorry to read this. Positive thoughts and prayers your way as you and your loved ones face the days ahead. Keep us informed how you're doing okay?

So sorry to hear of your illness. Will be praying for you for a fast recovery. BTW: I am also from Michigan

We have a cousin that is on his 22nd year surviving a very agressive Brain Cancer.(Gamma Knife Surgery).

Wish you the same +MORE!

That is very encouraging news. I go to a cancer support group at my church and someone there knows someone who was diagnosed with brain cancer 10 years ago and is still doing OK. My wife and I are keeping a positive attitude and appreciate the support we are receiving from this group.

Three of our freinds with stage IV Cancers were told to start hospice then choose blended complimentary medicines with MD Anderson or Mexico and are surviving 5+ Years!!!

Had first radiation treatment yesterday. Will need 29 more. Also started chemo last night. Doctor was happy with the last MRI and CT. I am currently feeling quite well. Wife and I strive to maintain a positive attitude. Thanks for all the encouraging replies.

Few updates,

CIDP

I am now receiving 80 grams of IVIG every 5 weeks. It used to be every 4 weeks but my symptoms have improved since my cancer diagnosis so we decided to try extending it a little bit.

Cancer

I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme on 1/1/2015. My tumor was malignant and they gave me 6 - 15 months to live. I received all the standard treatments. As of today it has been nearly 15 months and I am actually doing very well. I feel well and am able to remain fairly active. My January and March routine MRI's showed no evidence of any active tumor growth. While my wife and I are very happy to get these type of reports we realize we need to be realistic in that the cancer is still lingering in my head and recurrence is likely.

Life is good!

Stay positive and keep up the fight!

Randy
