I am about 1 hour from the Raleigh area. I have a nephew and niece and their 2 wonderful babies that live in wake county. It takes around about 1 hour to and 15 minutes to get to them. How close are you to that? When we were going to Duke Hospital It took a little less than an hour it traffic was good.

You know, many have talked about having a Ben's Friends convention, you know like the Star War's fans, only we wouldn't have to wear costumes! That said, we have screen names like superman, wonder woman, spider man, bat girl, on the different communities, so some may actually be wearing capes! Wouldn't that be something to meet up, and I'll tell you if we ever do, I'm giving Braylin's gramma a shopping cart ride down the biggest hill in town! LOL!

Let's see if she's feeling well enough to pay attention yet!

Hope you are feeling better Gaynelle!

You and I would get in a bit of mischief I can tell! Yes, we are missing you Gaynelle! Hope all is well!

I like the Superfriends type party. That would be a blast!! Can you see all of us together in one place? We could get in all kinds of mischief and no one would get mad at us.

I’m okay with the capes, as long as we’re not getting our feet wrapped up in them, but honey, my days of tights and leotards are OVER!

It was so much fun meeting SK. We had a blast!

After several years in BF she is the first person I’ ve met in person.

I've met others that I'd only met online before through CMT Support and it is an awesome experience; I encourage any who can to do so! It would be great to touch base with MDA and other Organizations in your area to find out if they can put you in touch with others and have some mini meet ups! Many do have support group meetings to make initial contact and then maybe make your own little meetings of those you feel akin to.

tga,

Hi Tami, we have some friends in OK, and I always worry about them every time I hear about the tornados that you all get! They both have the underground storm cellars, which I think are very good ideas, though they are getting to the age/stage that I worry about them being able to navigate the ladders.

I know there is one particular corridor there that is hit the most often but then again they can pop up anywhere. The thing most distressing is that they never seem to have these at the schools, and think it should be mandatory and strictly enforced!

Concerned,

SK

I am beginning to think they need to start building bunkers at the schools. We are loosing WAAAAY to many children lately. Some to nature and we can build bunkers and other shelters to help that but the kids we are are loosing to other kids and violence WE all need to stop that. We didn't grow up with that and it is not fair that our kids and grandkids have to.

Sorry to get on my soapbox.

I to lately have started worrying now when I hear weather reports close to others homes. I have found that I start shooting up many extra prayers for them that they will be safe through the weather. It feels to me like I have suddenly gotten a whole new family of brothers and sisters.

TOO funny!!! I will have to get a special helmet for that shopping cart ride! What a site that should be. Would be fun thought hey????

I know, BG, the weather really affects me too! When the barometric pressure drops, I usually do too!

Speaking of drop, my mom just fell again. Prowling around in the dark again, that's how she broke her hip. I told her I was going to order her a miner's helmet with the light on it! She seems to be okay, hopefully that rod has stayed in place! I'm sure she's really going to feel this tomorrow! I think I just aged another ten years!

SK

I hope your mom is ok. Maybe you should get her that helmet :) she sure don't need anymore falls. I hope everyone else is doing okay I will check back in a couple a days I hopes. My eyes hurt and I just feel to bad to sit here and type. Had fever between 100 and 102 for 3 days now and it is getting hard to fight. I really hate CMT. I hope everyone is enjoying all the beautiful fall weather and leaves. I am going to western NY the end of this month so I will enjoy the weather then.
