JUST CURIOUS plus kinda fun

I live in North Carolina

I was kinda wondering where everyone lives. I know this has probably been done before but I think it would be fun to update and it is something fun for me to do. Plus I will admit, we are trying to move and I just was curious if any of ya'll are going to be near the place we are trying to move to or even the place we are now. Who knows that may encourage someone to more than just friends on the site, we may actually get members on here that see each other and can get together and talk or go shopping or have a once a month outing or something. Who knows, I think it would be great if we could help friends get together.

I am in the UK

l live in Southern OK just north of Dallas TX. l do not know anyone other than family with this disease. l've been trying to get together with the Dallas group for meetings but my ability to travel has been limited since they started regular meetings. ln fact l would prob go to their meeting today but it is a picnic and l hate being outside. Allergies are kicking my but year round and l am very fair skinned.

I live in Cary, NC (most of the time) and in Rochester NY. I would love to get together with anyone in either area. Also, there are great support groups in Wilmington, NC and the Triangle area of NC, but none that I know of in the Rochester, NY area.

I live in NYC.

I am in South Africa!

I live in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, about 25 miles north of London. I used to live in Brixton, South London for 35 years, teaching inner-city youth. Berkhamsted is very quiet by comparison but liberal, civilised and less driven, more community-minded. I miss the ethnic diversity and world-wide culture of London, it's an exciting place. I enjoy the sense of being close to the countryside and the neighbourliness of Berkhamsted.

Lake Saint Louis, MO, a suburb west of Saint Louis, MO.

I live in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Live in Southwestern corner of Missouri ATM. Planning to sell and move back to NW Arkansas or North Eastern OK. It is good to meet others in person when we can. I've done that with several from a former group and some I talk occasionally on the phone with. We end up being closer than family sometimes b/c we understand and relate to so many things we cope with on a daily basis.

hello CM. l will have to look you up if l ever get back that direction. l am wanting to go back to Carthage and Precious Moments. ~Tami

We are in Central NJ.

I moved from Warren,Pa to Ottawa Kansas. Too hot and humid here! I would love to return to Warren, but it would break my son’s heart.

It sounds like we have a pretty spread out group right now. But who knows as we get more people to play on this list with us we may still be able to find some matches for people to have new friends close to them. Someone said that we can come closer to the friends we make here than family sometimes because the friends here know what we are going through, that is so true. Our spouses, parents, partners, friends or whatever can love us all they want and they can help us, care for us, listen to us, and do anything we need but no matter what they will never understand the pain or anything that we go through. We know they all have great intentions and we love them for it but sometimes we just need a friend that we can talk to, call, meet for coffee, or anything else with that understands US. So for all of you who have responded to this I want to give you a very huge THANK YOU AND A WARM HUG from my heart for putting up with me and caring about even if I ramble on and bore you to death. Now we have to hope the others will reply and help fill in our blanks

Would welcome that; I love Precious Moments and now have new grand kids the right age to go; so be sure to let me know if you come through; Also, about 1 1/2 hrs from Branson,MO, which might be a vacation spot for some! I would definitely meet up! And I go through Durant when visiting my family; can maybe contact you then; I am a Dallas Girl originally but transplanted to AR and the Ozarks when my oldest daughter was 2 yrs old so about 6 yrs into our marriage. Been in this are longer than anywhere. Hubby was builder by trade and we built and sold numerous homes and moved around.

I’m in Maryland. I was very fortunate to meet dancer mom before she moved to Holland.

After several years in BF she is the first person I’ ve met in person.

Hi All, I live in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, CA. I would love to get together with anyone who might share this challenging disease that lives near me. Both my son and myself are affected. Anyway, if someone out there is interested, I welcome an email.

jnj2008,

Do you live in the Triangle region of NC or near Wilmington, NC?

John

Cary, NC

I am about 1 hour from the Raleigh area. I have a nephew and niece and their 2 wonderful babies that live in wake county. It takes around about 1 hour to and 15 minutes to get to them. How close are you to that? When we were going to Duke Hospital It took a little less than an hour it traffic was good.
