In addition to my IVIG, I take Marapax each night . It us actually for Parkinson’s disease, but was recommended by a former case worker. I also have recently discovered Diet Tonic water…containing Quinine. I usually drink a small bottle of that during early evening. You must use a brand name of tonic water…the store brand does not work for some reason. Also, someone recommended very early on, that keeping your legs moisturized WITH LITS OF LOTION SEEMED TO lessen the pain…I also make sure my legs are moisturized before going to bed. Not sure which things work…but I d
Just do it all. Also, I resent lay read…now get this …that eating broccoli works as a counter effect to caffeine…haven’t tried that yet, but I love marinated broccoli and p,an to keep some in the refrig. Hope these might help.
Currently taking maximum doses of Gabapentin & Nortriytaline,
I will see an anesthesiologist (pain management specialist) next week for the real low-down,
Exercise also works wonders if you do it regularly and vigorously,
I have found that stretching my legs throughout the day helps. Gabapentin did not work for me and it made me nauseous. I don't know why, but if at night I heat a rice bag and put it on my legs it helps, This seems weird because it is an inflammatory disorder and heat shouldn't help but it does for me. I am seeing a physical therapist who is also a yoga instructor and she helps more than anything. My insurance pays for a limited amount of visits, now I need to be proactive and do it more at home.. I have also noticed if I push myself too hard during the day I will pay for it at night. Peace Nancy
