As if suffering from GBS wasn't enough, I am now seeing a hemotologist for Leukocytosis. My white blood cell counts are always high and I have night sweats and fevers about 80% of the time. They are doing gene testing to see if I have chronic myelogenous leukemia. I was just wondering if this could just be caused by autoimmune disease? Is it from having GBS? My doctors don't seem to think so but I sure hope it isn't cancer. My labs are all over the place, mostly high, some low. But I am CONVINCED this is part of the aftermath of GBS! Any one else have thoughts about this? I am curious to what others think who have had this syndrome. Are your your WBC counts high as well? I go back to get results in a few weeks, but like I said, I don't think it is cancer.
