Lyrica dependency?

How long should I expect to remain on Lyrica or better yet when do you stop taking it? I've tried skipping a dose, I'm on 100mg 3x daily, and only noticed enhanced tingling - not any pain... Think I've been pretty lucky so far as far as pain goes unless no lyrica will make it surface???

That's definitely a question for you and your doctor :) ...but it's great that you are pain free! The tingling is a common side effect with GBS patients...I never knew until this site!

Have been on Neurontin and now Lyrica for 12 years. Had an insurance issue at one point and went two days without Lyrica, very bad withdrawal and lots of Neuropathic pain in my feet. My Neurologist says that I will probably be on Lyrica for the rest of my life. If you decide to stop taking, please make sure you do it in conjunction with your Neurologist.

I am on a combo of gabapentin 1200mg 3 times per day along with Tramadol twice a day and it helps. I go through the VA and they did not want me to take Lyrica or Cymbalta. They say it's because I take warfarin, but I think it might just be a cost issue. I wish we had medical marijuana in Texas. I sure would try it.

I was on 100 mg of Lyrica 3 times a day for 2 years, and then went down to 25 mg three times a day, all whilst taking Norco 10/325 three times a day, and 100 mg of Nortriptyline at bed time. Just in the last 6 months have I come completely off the Lyrica. I do still take the Norco 3 times per day, and gradually getting off the Nortriptyline. I will say the tingling and neuropathy pain I feel was greatly relieved with the Nortriptyline use. Prayers and best wishes in your recovery.

Meant to also add, I tried Cymbalta and it made me a nervous wreck and threw me into panic/anxiety attacks.
