Welcome Kim from Ohio!

Hello @Kim10, and welcome to our community! We are happy you’ve found us and hope that we can help in some way. There are many resources available, and if you haven’t already, you may want to check out the FAQ section where many commonly asked questions are answered. If there’s anything specific you’re looking for or any questions you have, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Also, I am so sorry that your life has changed since your diagnosis four years ago. Our four-legged friends are amazing support systems and their love is unconditional. I have had many sports-related injuries/surgeries and mine have been by my side for the ride. What sort of dog do you have? I have two–Bella, a boxer, and Doug, a an adopted pitbull mix–both of which are angels, mischievous, and loyal all at the same time.

Thank you for joining us, and we wish you all the very best, Kim!

Hi Brandon,
My dogs have always played a large part of my life. Now they play an even bigger part. I lost my pit bull/lab about 3 yrs ago. I was not going to get another one, but u know how a dog lover is. I was at a local shelter where there were 9 puppies born. The owner of the mother had to give her up. The mother was Rhodesian ridgeback and father unknown. I couldn’t help myself!! Zoey is always with me day or night. She brings me joy everyday, and u know how important that is when your health is not the best.
I think everyone should have dog, they give u a reason to live and a reason to get up and move.
Thanks for the contact.
