Does anybody have Eye issues related to CIDP. My wife was diagnose with CIDP about a year ago, she is currently going to the Hospital for IVIG infusion three days every month.About Three month ago she start having double vision and problems with the movement of her eye one of her eye is acting like a lazy eye. as soon as she does her IVIG treatment the eye symptoms go away for about three weeks and they they comeback, Does anybody have this issues
I started having very blurry vision several months ago. It seems to happen when I am tired and especially as it gets closer to my IVIG treatment. I plan to ask my doctor about it this weekend while I’m having treatment. I have learned that rest helps mine.
Diagnosis just 6 months of starting IVIG… I had swollen knuckles, dry eyes, blurred vision. My Neuro sent my to a Rheumo and I was diagnosed with Sjogrens. A mild form or pre- form of rheumatoid arthritis. I also then had to see eye specialist ( due to Sjogrens) and I am now on Restasis. Plus I use Refresh in between. Made 100% difference
Hi -
Have you noticed anything bizarre with her pupils? I was diagnosed with an eye disease called aides pupil that can be caused by the optic nerve demyelination. Thankfully mine hasn’t progressed to where it affects my vision but I think it may.
I have CIDP and was diagnosed in 2009. I had symptoms from around 2005. I noticed I had double vision as one of my symptoms and it seemed to occur when I was tired. Since treatment with IVIG I have improved with my eyesight problems. I no longer notice double vision as one of my symptoms. I have not had a lazy eye however. I do notice sometimes just before my infusion is due the double vision returns but not to the extent that it was initially. My specialist did suggest I should see an eye specialist but having improved I haven't followed it up.

Does the IVIG treatment helps? Thanks for your reply to the discussion that helps a lot . I Think our next step is to see an eye doctor
The only eye problems I have are optic neuritis, sound induced phosphenes, an extremely dry left eye, and other related photopsias. But I do have other symptoms that come back shortly prior to my next IVIG infusions. Sounds like she has CIDP with CNS involement.
I had no symptoms- just a very abnormal looking pupil. I had no success with IVIG and have not had it since April.
