I just came across this symposium tonight and am very interested in attending to learn more about our disease (and no I will not be attempting to spend time in Disney). Does anyone know if there are programs or grants that can help us attend conferences like this?
Phone the number at the bottom of the registration webpage and ask, Katie. Sometimes conferences allocate a certain number of registrations to patients.
Thanks so much for the quick reply. I did try this and they offer no assistance at all. It's frustrating that support is difficult for those of us "in between." My family does not qualify for financial assistance in any way, but the cost of my illness combined with the fact that my husband lost his job puts a big strain - making opportunities like this (learning about our disease) seam so out of reach.
