Long time CMT friend has the ball in here hip broken and had partial hip replacement. Anyone else have this experience and any thing to share about it. Encouragement or therapy success? Thanks

Hi mrmustard, I really admire your extraordinary drive and accomplishment, and am so sorry to know that you have had to go through hip replacements so young! I've helped my mom through a broken hip, and my late mother in law through hip replacement, and learned enough to know I don't want to go through anything like it! Sounds like you’ve been through the ringer, girlfriend! I’m hoping you’re finished with surgery now! You should have asked for ‘bionic’ replacement parts! As good as it is to hear from all of you, it’s so sad that it’s related to suffering!
Glad to hear that they kept an eye on you during, but then to have such problems after.
In one of the other articles on this topic, the patient was given ONLY an IV anesthetic.
I always ask for that device that you blow into to move balls through…

Had the partial done 3 mo ago…Still not walkin Muscle too weak still. doin pt weekl CMT Sux!

Sorry to hear this Angel. CMT is a slow process of healing and we never expect to be the same but hope some mobility is restored! Wish we could all offer better outlook, but all we have is each other and another tomorrow to hope for!
